End of Year News

FIRST GRADE NEWS
JUNE 12
MRS. KIMBALL

Dear Parents,

Hi! I can’t believe this is my last newsletter!! This year has been awesome! You have the best kids! I have enjoyed each day I have spent with them! Thank you for being so supportive this year. No wonder your kids are so great! Make sure you visit as they grow older.  I want to hear about all of the amazing things they do!

This week we did lots of finishing up.  We finished our Spelling books and Poetry books.  We said good-bye to our peer helpers. We made sponge painted ocean animals on our tie-dyed t-shirts. We made sharks and sea horses. We watched the movie ANDRE after finishing the book.

SUMMER WORK

Your kids have learned so much this year.  Please make sure they keep reading at least four times a week.  If you set up a special time before bed and designate twenty minutes for reading, it will become habit.  Also, any chance you get, have your child continue to count money.  This will only make second grade math easier :)!
