PICS FROM WEEK ENDING 5-25-18

Three Anah Shrine Circus Clowns came to

visit on Monday. They taught us how to put on 

clown faces and even some of their tricks!

We had a visit from one of our siblings. 

He knew we were celebrating finishing our

Dragon chapter books with Dragon Day so

he brought in his Bearded Dragon for us to

meet. Kevin, the dragon, was very well

behaved. We loved having him!

Firefighter Pete came and taught us about EMS.

Mr. Wardrop and Mr. Bagley came to teach us 

about Arbor Day. We got to go down by the river 

and plant Spruce Trees with them.

The Main-E-Acts Baton Twirling team 

came to perform!

They were amazing!

So glad we were all here to share this 

special day together! It was a 

beautiful day with a wonderful class!

GRADES 1-2 NEWS 5-25-18

Hello Warm Weather...can you believe today?! It’s been a crazy busy
week. Monday we had three Anah Shrine Circus Clowns visit. Jappo,
T.C. and Papi showed us how they put on their clown faces and
taught us a few tricks. Tuesday we had Dragon Day. We wore our
dragon stone necklaces, painted dragon eyes, made dragons and
even had dragon math and writing. Thursday we had a visit from
Firefighter Pete. He talked about EMS and showed all the special
equipment they carry. We also practiced for next week’s Spring
Concert. Friday we celebrated Arbor Day by listening to Mr. Wardrop
talk about trees and planting trees by the river. We also had a visit
from the Main-E-Acts Twirling Team. Their routines were amazing!
Our speech and language teacher, Mrs. Fish’s daughter is part of
this team. We got some great ideas for our circus routines! In
between all of this excitement we also wrote one last letter to our
pen pals, read, did anagrams and even took our math N.W.E.A.
Everyone did well. We will take our reading one next week.

• Wednesday, May 30th - Spring Concert 6:30 p.m. Kids meet in library.
• Friday, June 1st - Musical T-shirt money due. ($10 cash)
• Thursday, June 7th - Primary Musical, Circus, Circus at 1:00 and 6:00 in gym.
• Thursday, June 14th - Step Up Day.
• Friday, June 15th - Field Day. School picnic. Last full day before
• summer vacation.

We had the coolest show and tell this week!

It was an owl pellet. It was so interesting to 

see all the mouse bones inside of it!

Meet Squeak and Butterscotch!

They came to visit us today.

We LOVED them!!

One of our classmate's brother was principal today!

He came to read to us and tell us about his job.

I think we might have a few friends trying to

win this special silent auction item next year!

We finished Dragon Masters and the My Father's Dragon series.

We got dragon rings and "dragon tongues" in the Guess Box.

We will have a special Dragon Day on Tuesday!

GRADES 1-2 NEWS

Hi! Our CIRCUS, CIRCUS practice is going great! We have quite the performers
in our room! Next week is a busy one for us with lots of special visitors. We have
the Anah Shrine Clowns coming on Monday, Firefighter Pete on Thursday, Mr. Wardrop teaching us about Arbor Day on Friday morning and the Main-E-Acts Twirling Team performing Friday afternoon. Please remember on Friday we will be walking to the
river to plant trees. Your child will need sneakers, no sandals. You may want to put sunscreen on your child before s/he comes Friday.

We enjoyed having two guinea pigs, Squeak and Butterscotch, visit us today. They
were very well behaved. Thank you Anna for sharing your special friends with us!
