ONLINE AUCTION

Don't forget to check out the PTO online auction! There are lots of awesome things to bid on! I know a lot of first graders that would LOVE to eat breakfast with Mr. Cyr, become principal for the day or get a ride in a fire truck or police car! There are lots of other great things, too!! Check it out at:

PICTURES AND NEWS FROM WEEK OF 11-23

We did lots of measuring this week. We used cubes and paper
clips to measure objects in the room and in our book.

We worked in cooperative groups to measure
really big things like our table!

First we tried counting the cubes by ones.

We quickly found out that counting by tens was much easier!

We wrote our own fairy tales! We will read them to you
after our play, THE RUNAWAY UNICORN, on
Tuesday, Dec. 8th at 8:30.

We are learning about light in science. We
had fun exploring with mirrors this week.

We did lots of activities in response to
Cinderella. First we listened to the story.

We wrote the three wishes we would love to
have a fairy godmother grant us.  We also
did a word search and challenge math paper
that counted wheels on many coaches.

We made our own magic wands.

We had fun practicing nouns, adjectives and verbs with
our peer helpers by playing MadLibs.

Second Grade came and read us Thanksgiving stories. They also
shared a special treat that they had made for us!

It was a short and exciting week!

Happy Thanksgiving!
