Hi! We shoved as much as we possibly could into this short week! We worked with the short e sound. We continue to practice sounding out CVC words. We made a new book called Monsters in Grade One. We also did a great sequencing activity with the book Room on a Broom. The kids then wrote about where they would fly their broom to.
Firefighter Pete came to visit. He talked about the importance of smoke detectors and having a family meeting place. He encouraged the kids to go home and talk about what their family plan is if they ever need to get out quick.
We didn't get to do our scheduled bus safety because of the rain. We will do it on Thursday, Oct. 20 instead. We did get to work with our Pre-K, First and Kindergarten friends on some seasonal coloring, STEM activities and games.
Mid Trimester Progress Notes are coming home today. Please look for them in your child's backpack. If your child's doesn't make it home, send me an email and I will email one to you.
