Hi! We started sharing our traditions this week. Great job to all those that presented so far! We can't wait to see the rest next week! We had a presentation from Mad Science of Maine. It was amazing! Ask your child about it. We started measuring in math. We learned to use rulers to measure to the nearest inch and to use as a straight edge. We also used various objects to measure as well. We learned to use bar graphs to keep track of data. We each formed our own questions and then used a bar graph to record the information we got when we surveyed our classmates and Pre-K. We started exploring with base ten blocks to get ready to learn about place value in January. We did some how to writing as we practiced using transition words. We talked about wants, needs and giving. We wrote on ornaments to tell what we needed, wanted and were going to give.
