Hi! The outside world might be filled with snow but our room is a lovely tropical rainforest! The kids turned a quarter of our room into a rainforest. They worked in pairs to make a tree. They connected the trees with vines and scattered animals throughout. You might have heard about it! The custodians love us!
Between the snow day and so many kids being out sick it has been hard to get a true play rehearsal in. We're doing our best. We will be ready for Wednesday for sure! Just hoping we get everyone back healthy!
We started the week with April Fool's Day. The kids loved the brown-es I made for them. Hopefully one made it home for you! They did get real ones after. They also got to do a word search that had no words.
We turned our hands into the Lorax and made edible truffella trees.
Today we had some University nursing students in. They did a teddy bear clinic for our primary students. Ask your child about it.
Don't forget that we will present our play, An Earth Day Carol, on Wednesday, April 10th at 8:30 in the cafeteria. Family and friends are invited. We will have you back to our room after to see our rainforest, hear stories and have a rainforest snack.
Friday, April 12th is our last day before April break.
