Hi! Happy 2025! It's great to be back. The kids were VERY excited and had many stories to share. We made Vision Boards for the new year. We talked about how this is a great time to try something new or get stronger at what we can already do.
We read the book, The Snowy Day. We made ourselves in snow gear and wrote about what we like to do in the snow. We worked on using commas in lists. We're also hoping we might actually get to do some real snow activities soon!
Speaking of snow...We may not have any but it is COLD! Next week is supposed to be even colder. Please make sure your child has a hat, mittens and winter jacket. Snow pants and boots are optional but would be even warmer. We go out no matter what. However, the time we are out might change with wind chill factors.
Miss Ortiz is here for sixteen weeks to student teach. It's awesome having another teacher in the room! Plus the kids already know and love her!
UFLI hw starts Monday. The packet came home today in folders. Make sure to look for it. Speaking of folders, please look for your child's at home if s/he doesn't have theirs. I can replace it if it doesn't turn up.
Afternoon Break has changed. We will still have it on Friday if everything gets done for the week. However, we know will have choice time if we finish an assignment early.
UPCOMING DATES
* Tab Collection - Our school is collecting tabs again this year again to benefit The Ronald McDonald House. If our class can fill our bucket, I will give the kids a movie and popcorn party! The incentive this year is within each class.

* Monday, January 20th - No School. MLK Observance.
