NEWSLETTER 10-20-17

Dear Parents,

Hi! We’ve had a busy week! We started practicing on the stage for our play. We worked on scenery. We also made it through the rest of the solar system. We even went to Pluto because we still thought it was important even if the scientists said it’s only a dwarf planet! We will continue with our space theme through October.

Reminder...our play, The Ugly Pumpkin, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. Friends and family are invited. We will invite you back to the room after to share stories. The whole thing will be a half hour to forty-five minutes.

We had a great trip to the Veazie Fire Station on Monday. Thank you to those parents who came along to help us! Today we able to go through a Smoke House. It showed us what it would look like in a room filled with smoke. Ask your child about it! A huge thank you goes out to Firefighter Pete, Drew and Jeff for all their help these past two weeks in teaching us about fire safety!

We read the book Spookley, the Square Pumpkin and made 3-D pumpkins to go with the story. We also wrote about what makes us unique.

HALLOWEEN

Children may bring their costumes to school on Halloween to change into after lunch. Please do not send costume accessories. They tend to get lost or broken causing lots of distress. We will be doing special centers from 11:30 - 1:00 with our Primary Buddies.
