FIRST GRADE NEWS
MARCH 15th
MRS. KIMBALL

Dear Parents,

Hi! Our leprechaun traps were a huge hit! The kids did an amazing job at brainstorming, creating, testing, analyzing and refiguring their ideas! They did a super job at presenting their inventions to grades PreK - 6. Unfortunately, we did not catch any leprechauns. We even put up signs saying that St. Patrick’s Day was March 15th this year! Hopefully each trap makes it home in one piece so you can see how awesome your child did. This was such a meaningful way to meet our engineering standard in grade one!

You might have heard we are doing a play! It’s called AN EARTH DAY CAROL. We will present it to family and friends on Wednesday, April 10th at 8:30 AM in the cafeteria. We will invite you back to our room after to share stories and snacks. The entire thing will be over between 9:15-9:30. If you or another adult cannot make it, please let me know in advance so I can let your child invite a sibling or older friend.

DATES TO REMEMBER

  • Friday, March 29th - Whole School Field Trip to OT YMCA. Swim suit and towel might be needed - ask your child what s/he signed up for.
