FIRST GRADE NEWS

MAY 10th

MRS. KIMBALL

Dear Parents,

Hi! Our musical rehearsals are in full swing! Mark your calendars for Thursday,
June 13th at 6:00. We would like students to wear blue or jean shorts to go with
the t-shirts we are ordering. T-shirts are $8 and we are taking donations for t-shirts
for those needing it.

READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS

We are still collecting Books for Bikes tickets. Keep up the reading at home.

We had fun writing about our moms this week. We hope you all enjoyed it and
have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

MATH

We started doing number grid puzzles. They are very tricky. Students need to
remember horizontal means +/- 1 and vertical means +/- 10. We have also been
working with time to the half hour, fractions and shapes.

Thank you to the P.T.O. and all the parents who spoiled us this week for
Teacher’s Appreciation Week. It was much appreciated! <3
