Hi! What a wild weather week…especially for February! We ventured into space and started learning about the moon, sun and Earth. We will continue this next week and then expand into the other planets.
READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS
Our author of the month is Theodor Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss! We have done a couple of activities to go with his books, The Cat in the Hat and Oh, The Places You’ll Go. They are hanging in the hall.
We are reading Midnight on the Moon, a Magic Tree House Book as a class. We are reading two chapters a day.
MATH
We learned how to do Name Collection Boxes this week. We had fun writing down all the names that people use when they speak to us. We also worked with adding and subtracting tens from various numbers.
ITEMS OF INTEREST
* Wednesday, March 3, we will celebrate World National Read Aloud Day.
It was supposed to be this past Wednesday but got snowed/iced out.
