Hi! We have had a busy week back from vacation! Mr. Baker taught us about the phases of the moon. We also learned about the job of an astronaut. We went to the Planetarium on Wednesday and saw a brand new show on the solar system. It was great! Our space unit is starting to wrap up. Our next unit will be on the rainforest.
We will be making leprechaun traps as a part of our engineering unit. Please start saving things your child might want to use on their trap. We love extras, too, in case some people don't have anything. Materials can start coming in on Monday, March 9th. We will build on Thursday, March 12th.
Dates to Remember
* Monday, March 9 - Leprechaun trap materials can begin coming in. Please put them in a labeled bag.
* Thursday, March 12 - Leprechaun trap building.
* Thursday, March 12 - Early Release Day. Students get picked up at 11:30.
* Friday, March 13 - Teacher Inservice Day. Students are off.
* Monday, March 16 - Sharing Leprechaun Traps.
* Tuesday, March 17 - St. Patrick's Day - Wear green!
