NEWSLETTER 12-15-17

Hi! We’ve had a busy four day week. We decorated special kindness folders. We are writing special notes to each of our classmates. We will open our folders on Thursday. We’ve done lots of talking about how we can give without buying. The class really had fun being secret elves and sneaking out into the school to hang reminder signs of ways to be kind. We’re hoping to bring some positive thoughts to all.

We worked on logic riddles. They are very tricky word problems that we read to decipher clues to figure out answers. You have to have lots of patience and stamina to solve them. Everyone loved becoming detectives to solve them.

We finished our first math book in both grades. We took the last unit test for these books. We will begin book two, practice some of our place value games and do some more logic puzzles next week. There will be no homework until we come back in January. I know how busy this time of year is.

We had fun decorating sugar cookies today for a special snack. We also did an experiment to see if we could make something transparent become non-transparent. We turned wax paper into snow glitter to make snowflakes!
