FIRST GRADE NEWS
JUNE 7th
MRS. KIMBALL

Dear Parents,
Hi! We’ve had a fun week! The airport field trip was AWESOME!!! We were actually
out on the runway (in a bus) watching a plan take off. We saw and learned a lot! We
are doing a special STEM project that goes with Chris Van Dusen’s book, IF I BUILT A CAR.
The kids are making a blueprint for a car they have invented. They have to label what
all the parts do. They also have to build a 3D model of the car. We have some very creative
kids that I would love to drive their invention!!

The last day of Flex was today. It has been awesome! We look forward to each Friday
morning when we can do Flex! Homework has ended. There will be no Spelling Test next
week. There will be no more Progress Notes. We are trying our best with the excitement
of summer in sight.
