Hi. We have had a busy week! We learned about octopus, jellyfish and sea turtles. We took our Math and Reading NWEAs. Everyone went up LOTS of points! Their hard work this year really shows!
We had a visit from the MEA president, Jesse Hargrove. He awarded our class with a plaque, balloons, card, book and $250 BAM gift card. We brainstormed all the books we would like to have in our classroom library. I will use the gift card this weekend to buy them!
We had a great field trip to The Grand to see One Morning in Maine. It was based on the book by Robert McCloskey. The cool thing about the show today is that his daughter Sal was there! She is an adult now but that is who he based his book on! We had our last Flex Friday of the year. Ask your child where s/he went.

Bus Evacuation Drill 9:30 - 10:30
Wellness Day - OT Y in the afternoon. Bus leaves at 11:30.
Wednesday, May 28 - Field trip to UMaine farm (10:00, Bus leaves at 9:40)
Thursday, May 29 - Scholastic Book Fair 2:30 - 4:30.
Friday, May 30 - Scholastic Book Fair at school. Our class will visit this day during the day (feel free to send money). However, kids can also visit with parents after school between 2:30 - 4:30.
Monday, June 2 - Dragon Days begin
Thursday, June 5 - UMaine touch tank (1:20)
Wednesday, June 11 - School Barbecue
Thursday, June 12 - Last Student Day - Field Day - 11:30 Dismissal.
