Hi! Our first full week of 2026 went great. Thanks to our school Robotics team we snuck in a week focused on Archaeology. Students were able to try out writing in hieroglyphics, put artifacts together, participate in an actual dig and recreate ancient pottery. We also started our space unit. We are starting with our galaxy and then moving through the planets, sun and moon.
Our sounds of next week for UFLI are wh and ph. In math, we continue to work on place value and finding the missing number in addition and subtraction equations.
UPCOMING DATES TO REMEMBER
* Tuesday, February 3rd - We are celebrating the 101st day first grade. We'll be doing lots of Dalmatian activities so feel free to dress as a Dalmatian or in spots!
* Friday, February, 13th - We will celebrate Valentine's Day with a Make Your Own Valentine's Day Party.
* February Vacation begins Friday, Feb. 13th. School will resume Monday, Feb. 23rd.
