SECOND GRADE NEWS 10-21-16

Hi! Wow...what a week! The kids have been working very hard and getting lots done! We went to the stage for play practice and painted our scenery! We also wrote and published stories. We learned how to make a comic on our Chrome books. It’s on our Portaportal if you want to check it out at home! We cannot wait to have you all in next Friday...we have so much to share!

THE UGLY PUMPKIN

We will be shared with family and friends on Friday, October 28th at 8:30 in our cafeteria. Everyone is invited to come back to our room with us following the play to see our work, share stories and snacks.

PRIMARY WING BUDDIES

We are working with our primary wing buddies this month to learn about bats. Each second grader is in charge of one or two pre-k, kindergarten or first graders. We started our first lesson today. Second Graders are wonderful leaders! Ask them what they did with their younger friend!

HALLOWEEN

The Primary Wing will be having special Halloween STEM stations for the kids to go through on Monday, Oct. 31st in the morning. Students may wear their costumes to school as long as they are safe for the playground and don’t get in the way of their learning. No weapons, even costume related, are allowed. Masks can be used for  pictures  but then need to stay in lockers.
