Dear Parents,
Hi! What a fun filled week we’ve had! We wrapped up our Pixie Tricks Series with an afternoon of making fairy houses along the wooded path behind the school. The kids were in their element creating with nature! We came in and had a special Guess Box. Our new chapter book is Charlotte’s Web. I’m so excited the kids love books as much as I do!
We talked about the artist Edvard Munch who is famous for The Scream. We tried our hand at recreating it. However, we added our own screaming picture in it. We had fun writing about what made us so scared. Thank goodness our stories all ended up being a dream!
Play rehearsal is going well. We are going to try to go without scripts by the end of next week so we can get on stage! Reminder that our play will be Tuesday, Oct. 31st at 8:30 in the cafeteria.
Fire Fighter Pete visited on Thursday. We will go see him at the fire station on Monday. We will begin walking over at 9:20. Feel free to join us if you like! We will return about 10:45.
We are publishing our first stories in writing! They have to do with space aliens! We will share them after our play.
We are enjoying watching Mystery Doug once a week. It is a ten minute science show where Doug answers a different question sent in by a student. Then he gives us three choices of questions for what we want him to answer the following week. We’ve already sent him some of our own questions.
