Hi! We have been busy reading Native American Legends this week. We did a special project to go with The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush. They are hanging in the room. We learned a Native American math game. We also made turkeys and wrote about having a pet turkey. We will continue with this unit next week. We will start an economics unit after Thanksgiving break.
We practiced reading a Thanksgiving Readers’ Theater. We will share it with our Primary Buddies next week. Students were challenged to find someone to read A Thanksgiving Story to. They could earn a trip to the treat box by bringing the story back signed.
We will not have a newsletter or progress note next week since we only have a two day week. However, we do have lots of great things planned. The kids will be provided with special Thanksgiving Stem Challenges. There will also be some Lego Robotics time going on. Should be a great two days :)!
THANKSGIVING BREAK HOMEWORK
- Read every day. Thanksgiving is a great time to share a book with a relative you don’t normally get to read to :)!
- Sort and count change.
- Tell someone what time it on an analogue (face) clock at least three times.
