GRADES 1-2 NEWS 11-3-17

Hi! I’m hoping you are all with power now and settling back into some kind of normalness. It was great seeing so many of you at the play this week! The kids did such an amazing job especially with all the last minute changes. They also loved being able to show you everything we’ve been working on!

Our field trip to the Planetarium will be on Wednesday, Nov. 8th. The bus leaves at 8:40 and will return at 10:40. Parents are welcome to join us. However, we cannot accommodate younger siblings.

We heard from our California Pen Pals! They sent us pictures, too. We were so relieved that they were safe from the fires that were actually close to their town. They missed six school days because of fire danger and smoke. It made us think differently about our recent loss of power.

Halloween was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who sent in supplies for our special centers. We mixed our primary classrooms and had them travel around to four different Halloween stations.

Weekly Progress Notes will begin today. They will come home each Friday unless we have it off or it is a report card week.

SPACE STATIONS

We will be making space stations on Tuesday afternoon. Thank you in advance for your help with sending in supplies for this!

WEAR RED, WHITE AND BLUE!

Thursday we will be our Veterans’ Day Celebration. Please dress your child in red, white and blue this day. We will also be collecting food items to fill Thanksgiving baskets for our community members in need. More information will be coming home about this.
