Happy Last Day of 2025-2026 First Grade!!! Wow, what a year it's been! I have enjoyed working with all of your kids! Thank you for sharing them with me! Thank you also for all of your support this year! Teamwork makes the Dreamwork!
Speaking of Teamwork, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Mr. Paul and Mr. Baker. Mr. Paul was such a huge help to everyone in our room all year long! Mr. Baker was an awesome student teacher! We loved having him with us all year and especially loved the dragon activity he did with us!
This week we did lots of dragon and special closure activities! We made memory bracelets, had a blue day, made dragons, had a Lemonade Escape Room, made homemade lemonade, had lots of guess boxes, had field day and got our first grade yearbooks. As I made their yearbooks, it was amazing to see how much they have grown, physically, socially and academically! You sometimes forget just how little they were when they started last August!
Please keep your child in books all summer. You can read to them, they can read to you or take turns. It's so important to keep books in their hands. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and have time to get outside and enjoy our beautiful state.
Don't forget to say hi over the years! I love following what the kids and families are up to.
