SECOND GRADE NEWS 3-17-17

SECOND GRADE NEWS 3-17

What a crazy week! We actually did still get some stuff accomplished, though! Swim was even better this week because groups had previously been formed and rules covered. We survived most of our leprechaun trap supplies disappearing (We think that the leprechauns came early and took our supplies so that we couldn’t build traps.) However, we fooled them and still made them! Be sure to ask your child what we caught!

Sixth Grade wrote us directions to a surprise St. Patrick’s Day craft. We read and followed them. It was an awesome activity! We ended up making rainbow chains that held a pot of gold.

We practiced the parts of a sentence by playing MadLibs. The kids love these! They are great for reading and writing. You can even find some free online to print out!

We made a good luck poster for Grades 3-8. They will begin taking the MEAs next week. We are going to try our best to be extra quiet in the hall so they can do well on them!

We had the best time at the Old Town YMCA. Ask your child which activities s/he participated in.

We had a visit from the BoxTop puppy today! He was so cute! Thank you PTO for the visit and donuts!!

No Progress Notes this week due to report cards coming home today.
Don’t forget swimsuits and towels on Tuesday for swim lessons :)!

Happy Weekend!
