We created our own aliens. They even have adoption certificates :)!

We learned about the job of an astronaut.
We tried out sitting like astronauts do as they are waiting for take off.
Of course, we had to do a countdown and launch ourselves into space ;)!
After our "blast off" we took time to write about our journey into space.
Everyone worked so hard on their stories.
They used much of the information we have been learning about in our unit.
Our astronaut shaped books are hanging in the hall under our space projects for people to read.
First Graders were quite the busy workers this week!
They are looking and acting more and more like Second Graders every day...
Can't we just slow this year down a little?!
