NEWSLETTER 4-1

Hi! We finished up our space unit with an awesome trip to the Emera Astronomy Center. We saw two shows at the planetarium. Make sure to ask your child about them!
Our next unit will be on keeping our environment healthy. We will do this until vacation and then work our way into the rainforest to learn about the animals and plants that live there.

READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS

We had lots of writing and sharing going on this week. It’s fun to watch!  After they share they get to ask for comments and questions from their classmates. It makes their writing meaningful, gives everyone new ideas and is just sweet to watch!
We started reading books by Iza Trapani. She takes children songs and makes stories that fit to the tune. She is also an incredible artist! We love her books!

MATH

We just finished assessing Unit 7. Our next unit will focus on Geometry. We will also keep working on addition and subtraction skills.
