We went to the Collins Center for the Arts
at UMaine to see Cirque Mechanics Pedal Punk.
It was amazing!!!! Our own principal, Mr. Cyr,
was even called up to be in the show!

We finished our first math journal this week!
We will start our second and final one after break.
I love seeing kids enjoying books!
We got letters from our California pen pals!!!
It was so exciting to hear from them and to write back...
now if we could only figure out how to send them some snow!
We worked with our Primary Buddies to learn about Kwanzaa.
We read stories, listened to a Kwanzaa song and wove mekakas.
We learned how to use Google Docs!
We practiced changing the font, size and color.
We learned about centering, bold and intalics.
As we finish our first type written story
we will sharing our work for peer editing.
We've been having fun reading BIG books.
A few have even shared one with Pre-K.
Miss LaGrange did a fun Economics lesson with us that taught about supply and demand.
We had fun working with our business partners to figure out how we would sell a disclosed amount of apples. The class had to judge our selling strategy to figure out if we had a high or low supply.
We have quite the entrepreneurs in here!
We surprised Miss LaGrange with a good-bye party!
These kids were able to keep the party a secret for 2 weeks!
She LOVED all of the gifts and cards we gave her.
The food was great! Thank you to everyone who helped
make our party a huge success! She definitely was
overwhelmed with your generosity!
Miss LaGrange gave us some new games for
our room and special pencils.
She also hand made each student their own card.
I hope you got a chance to see your child's card.
They were very special!
Although there were a few tears, we are so happy to know
Miss LaGrange will be in the building again starting in
January as a substitute. Of course the kids were nicely asking me
when I thought I might get sick. :)!
