SECOND GRADE NEWS 12-16-16
Hi! We had a great four day week! Don’t forget that our calendar does not have snow days built in this year so we will be adding a day in June for each snow day we have.
Mrs. O’Brien came in on Wednesday and taught us about German holiday traditions. We made ornaments, read stories and had a special snack.
We worked with vowels controlled by r in our reading and writing. We also practiced using Google Docs some more.
We had fun making and decorating wreaths. They are hanging in our room. They will come home next week.
It was great seeing so many of you at the concerts this week. The kids did an amazing job! I love watching them perform!
UPCOMING DATES
- Monday, December 19th - Wear green and red. We will also learn about Hanukkah. Thank you to everyone who sent in things to help with this!
- Tuesday, December 20th - Wear holiday related hats or headbands. We will also be going to the Middle School circus!
- Wednesday, December 21st - Last day before vacation! Wear your pajamas! We be doing some fun activities outside (weather permitting) so be sure to have snow gear at school!
LAST NEWSLETTER OF 2016
This is our last newsletter of 2016. It has been a wonderful year working with you are your children! I look forward to even more great things to happen in the New Year! I wish you all the best of holidays and a terrific vacation. See you in 2017!
