Quarantine Work Letter

PRIMARY QUARANTINE WORK

With all of the quarantining going on we thought we should give you some ideas on what your child could do while at home if they are feeling well enough to do school work. We will save and send home anything we feel they should work on after they return. This way we can give directions and catch them up on new skills. The work will not be due immediately. Your child will have time to complete it and much of it will be done right here at school. Also, we can see who is using online accounts. This way your child can be marked as present for actually working remotely. We will also use the work they turn in when they return or do after they return for remote learning attendance.

Hopefully this will help you. Pick and choose what fits into your schedule. You can even make up some of your own things! It’s difficult with so many quarantines at different times to send individual daily plans. Also, at this age most of what we do is hands-on and needs specific instruction. This list will keep your child actively learning and ready for us when they return.

If your child is sick, please let them rest and get better. We want to get them healthy so they can get back to us quicker!

Thank you for your help with another crazy time in education! We’re just so happy to have them all back in the classroom! Together we can make this year great!!

CHROMEBOOKS

If you know your child is going to be out for an extended period of time, feel free to come and get his/her chromebook to use while at home. You should have a copy of your child’s passwords already but if you need another copy just let me know. The kids know how to get to what they need on their chrome books. However, if you are working from a computer at home, just get them to www.portaportal.com and use the password vcs2. There you will find all the sites we use. Since it is a different device they will need help logging in the first time. Their chrome books already have their passwords saved for them.
