Hi! I hope you all are keeping warm! We have taken a closer look at Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars this week. We will hit the outer gas giants next week, along with the moon. Don't forget to look at the sky each night! Also a fun app you might enjoy on your phone is called Sky View Lite. It has a free version that works great. It tells you what is in the sky above you.
We took our NWEAs this week. It was great to see that each first grader made gains. We will use this information to keep working towards second grade! Mid-trimester progress reports come out in one week. It's hard to believe we are now half way through our year. Please make sure your child is reading each night and doing the math and spelling homework.
We have a lot of special activities coming up in the next two weeks. We decorated our Valentine bags today so valentines can begin coming in beginning Monday.
