FIRST GRADE NEWS 3-17-22

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We didn't catch any leprechauns but we sure did have lots of fun trying! This class did an amazing job engineering traps on Tuesday. They also did an awesome job presenting them to the school during the day on Wednesday. They received so many compliments from other teachers and students! We found lots of surprises today when we got to school. Ask your child about them!

We continued learning about the rainforest. We started a mural project which we will finish next week. We wrote about what was more special than gold. We showed off our reading skills to our peer helpers. We also got a chance to look way back on the blog to when our seventh grade peer helpers were in first grade!

We practiced fact families in math. We used Lucky Charms to practice our graphing, addition and tallying skills. I'm seeing less backwards numbers and letters. I think the homework incentive is helping ;).
