Hi! We continued with our map unit this week and added in some snowmen writing. We will finish up most of our map unit next week. However, we will keep revisiting our classroom map as we get our FLAT STANLEY responses. Our next unit will be on American symbols and presidents.
READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS
We practiced using transition words in our writing as we wrote about how to build a snowman. We also wrote Haiku poems about things we think snow people like to do. These are both hanging in our room with the adorable snow people we made!
MATH
We worked on finding the difference between two numbers. We learned two different ways so that we can pick which we like best. We can use subtraction or addition. We are almost done our first math journal. Look for it to come home sometime next week!
