SECOND GRADE NEWS 5-26-17
Hi! The weeks keep going faster and faster! Our musical is coming along nicely. The kids are working very hard. It’s definitely the hardest show we have ever put on. It’s amazing how much the kids can remember on the stage especially considering their ages!
We added another poem to our Candy Poetry Anthology. This week we worked with Acrostic Poetry.
Mrs. Logan did a fun project with us. We wrote recipes for our “dream” pie. We illustrated our pies after. The kids definitely were thinking Willy Wonka style pies...there was lots of candy in their ingredients!
This is our last week of Spelling / Dictation tests. This also means it is the end of official homework. However, it’s still a good idea make sure your child gets into the habit of reading every day :)!
Firefighter Pete came to visit today. Ask your child what s/he learned.
COSTUMES FOR MUSICAL
Unless otherwise told, please have your child wear plain colored shorts and sneakers on Friday, June 9th. We will have a t-shirt for him/her to change into once at school.

- Thursday, June 15th - Field Day, Picnic, Last day of school.
