SECOND GRADE NEWS 5-19-17
Hi! I am kind of freaking out because I just realized it is the 19th and not the 12th! I just lost a whole week with the kids...ahhh! Needless to say we have been very busy this week! We took our first full round of NWEAs. The kids did great!! I am so impressed with how hard they worked! They should be very proud of themselves! We had a popsicle and old fashioned candy (You remember those dot candies on the long strips of white paper?) party to celebrate Thursday afternoon.
We are off-book with our musical!! No more scripts from here on out. We will head to the stage on Monday to start learning dances and actions. It’s coming along great!!
We learned about trees and actually got to plant one today.

- Tuesday, May 22nd - We’re going to FaceTime with our California Pen pals!!
- Friday, May 26th - Book orders are due.
- Friday, May 26th - Firefighter Pete visits.
- Monday, May 29th - No school. Memorial Day.
- Wednesday, May 31st - Maine Discovery Museum (9:40 - 2:20)
- Thursday, June 1st - Books for Bikes drawing.
- Wednesday, June 7th - Spring Concert at 6:30 pm
- Friday, June 9th - WIlly Wonka Jr. - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday, June 13th - Primary Wing Field Trip to Specialty Sweets.
- Wednesday, June 14th - Step Up Day
- Thursday, June 15th - Field Day, Picnic, Last day of school.
